Reserve Study Group vs. Runway Reserves

Runway Reserves wrote this page, and we sell reserve studies. Last checked November 1, 2026. Confirm anything that matters with Reserve Study Group directly.

Reserve Study Group says it has over 20 years in the field, calls its team designated Reserve Specialists, and includes planning software with its studies. Runway Reserves was founded in 2026 and holds no credential, but it publishes its study fees, not including the field visit. If experience or a credential matters most to your board, Reserve Study Group is the stronger choice.

What it is A reserve study firm that delivers studies through PropFusion's planning software. We found no statement of any other tie between them. 1, 2 A reserve study firm that prepares its own reports.
Track record Claims over 20 years in the field and thousands of clients. We found no count of completed studies. 3 Founded in 2026.

Who makes the site visit Includes a site visit on its full study and on updates with a visit. We found nothing on who makes it. 5 A field technician we contract, using our checklist. We review what they record, and the report says who visited.
Published prices We found no price list. It gives prices on request within 1 to 2 business days. A 2025 article gives a general range for HOAs, which it doesn't state as its own prices. 6, 7 Published. Full study $2,995 to $6,495 by size, up to 499 units, site visit included. Update without a site visit from $1,295. Send us another firm's written quote for the same scope, and we'll beat it.
Stated delivery Its FAQ says a final draft typically within four weeks of a signed contract. Its HOA page says 3 to 6 weeks from the site visit to delivery. 3, 6 Within one week of the site visit.
Where it works Has state pages for California, Utah, Oregon and Colorado, among others. Its corporate office is in Seattle. We found no page for Arizona or Texas, which does not mean it won't work there. 8, 9, 10, 11 Open in 37 states and DC, and for some association types in Florida and Tennessee.

Insurance We found no statement of its coverage. 6 We carry errors and omissions insurance.

"We found no" means it wasn't on the pages we read. It doesn't mean the company doesn't offer it. Delivery clocks start at different points, so compare them with care.

When Reserve Study Group is the better choice

  • Your state, lender or governing documents require a credentialed preparer. We hold no credential.
  • You want planning software with your study. We give you a spreadsheet.
  • You want a firm that claims a longer history. You can ask it for references.
  • You prefer a three-year plan that includes a site-visit update. Ours pairs a full study with two updates without a visit.

When we might fit

  • You want a study fee before you ask for a quote. We publish a study fee for every size up to 499 units. A full study or an update with a visit also has a field visit charge, which we quote in writing before any deposit. A published fee helps a board budget, but it doesn't tell you whether the work is good. Send us another firm's written quote for the same scope, and we'll beat it.
  • You want revision and correction terms stated on the website before you ask for a proposal. Ask any firm for its terms in writing.
  • Your community has up to 499 units and up to 50 components, isn't a high-rise, mixed-use, marina or golf property, and no rule requires a credential.
